Job summary

Adept HR is seeking a Temp-to-Hire 2nd Shift Warehouse Lead to guide evening operations and bridge office systems with the warehouse floor in Athens, GA. You will coordinate drivers, manage data entry and oversee shift workflows to keep shipments on schedule.

This role emphasizes strong communication, computer literacy, and flexibility to work 2:30 PM–11:30 PM with overtime as needed and weekends based on business needs.

Qualifications

• Strong communication with drivers, warehouse personnel and office staff.
• Comfort using computers daily, email, scanning and fax machines.
• Accurate data entry with attention to detail and speed.
• Able to work 2nd shift 2:30 PM–11:30 PM and weekends as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Driver coordination: act as primary contact for incoming/outgoing truck drivers, verify paperwork, direct to bays, ensure clear communication.
• Data entry & administration: input shipment info into tracking systems, send updates via email, occasional fax communications.
• Shift leadership: keep workflows organized, troubleshoot issues, ensure safety standards on the floor.
• Long-term impact: help optimize evening shipping schedules, improve data accuracy, build relationships with drivers and logistics partners.
