Adept HR is seeking a Temp-to-Hire 2nd Shift Warehouse Lead to guide evening operations, bridging office systems with the warehouse floor. You will coordinate truck drivers, enter key inventory data, and collaborate with a dedicated team to keep shipments moving smoothly.

As a shift leader, you’ll maintain organized workflows, troubleshoot minor issues, and uphold safety standards. This role offers growth potential and a route to permanent placement based on performance.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills with drivers, warehouse staff and office teammates.
• Comfort using computers daily, including email and basic office equipment.
• Excellent data-entry speed and accuracy to keep inventory and shipment logs up to date.
• Willingness to work 2nd shift (2:30 PM–11:30 PM) and overtime on busy nights.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary contact for incoming and outgoing truck drivers, directing them to bays and ensuring clear communication throughout loading/unloading.
• Accurately input shipment information into tracking systems and send updates via email; handle occasional fax communications.
• Support the warehouse team by maintaining organized workflows, troubleshooting minor issues, and enforcing safety standards on the floor.
• Help optimize evening shipping schedules and build strong relationships with logistics partners over time.
