Job summary

Performance Foodservice in Suffolk, VA is seeking a Warehouse Selector to join our distribution team. You will pick and move product between loading docks and the warehouse, using pallet jacks and forklifts as needed to fulfill customer orders.

Starting at $18.57 per hour with incentives after training, the role requires lifting up to 100 lbs, operating in multi-temperature environments, and maintaining safety standards throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• Ability to work scheduled shifts, including overtime.
• Lift 10–35 lbs regularly and up to 60–100 lbs location dependent.
• Able to work in dry, cooler, and freezer environments.
• Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
• EPJ certification within training period.

Responsibilities

• Review work schedule, obtain supplies and prepare for operations.
• Perform safety checks on pallet jack and forklift, ensure devices function.
• Wear required PPE and safety gear.
• Move pallets along multi-level racks and locate products per order sheets.
• Place stock on pallets and wrap for shipment as required.
• Transport completed orders to loading docks and stage for shipping.
• Change batteries and perform vehicle inspection checklists.
• Secure equipment and complete paperwork at shift end.
• Meet productivity and accuracy standards per location guidelines.
• Follow safety policies and report unsafe conditions immediately.
