Job summary

Vistar is seeking a full-time warehouse associate in Bolingbrook, IL to select cases and containers, load pallets with an electric pallet jack, and prepare orders for shipment. The role requires attention to safety, accuracy, and efficiency in a multi-temperature warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
• 3 months of warehouse and/or distribution work experience.
• 3 months of Ride-on Electric Pallet Jack experience.
• Must be able to work the scheduled/assigned times and required overtime for the position.
• Able to stand, walk, reach and lift repeatedly throughout shift.
• Able to lift and stack product between 10-35 pounds and up to 80 pounds occasionally.
• Able to work in multi-temperature environments, i.e. cooler, freezer and dry.
• Pass pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety policies and procedures per company guidelines.
• Meet required productivity and accuracy standards per location and company guidelines.
• Place pallets on pallet jack and operate along assigned multi-level racks and locate products according to order sheets.
• Transport completed palletized customer order to shipping dock staging area and shrink-wrap if required.
• Remove batteries and replace with charged batteries, complete vehicle inspection checklist and end-of-shift paperwork.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
