Job summary

SanMar is seeking a 2nd Shift Equipment Operator in Florida to safely locate products using an RF unit and manually move items with powered equipment. You will process customer orders, restock bins, and operate lift devices on a Mon-Fri 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM shift.

The role involves lifting up to 60 pounds, following safety rules, and certification maintenance. You should have a High School Diploma or equivalent and 1-3 years lift operator experience, with good reading/writing skills, basic math,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1-3 years of lift operator experience
• Ability to read, write and have sufficient ability to identify colors, sizes, quantity, label and SKU information.
• Basic math skills in counting and quantity required.
• Demonstrates ability to follow directions and change priorities or job duties as business needs require; rotate to other production functions as needed.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume environment while meeting deadlines.
• Able to work both independently and within a team.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
• Comprehend verbal and written instructions.
• Essential days or overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

• Operate powered lift equipment to move product and materials using an RF unit to scan movement of product and identify locations.
• Load, unload, move, stack, and stage product.
• Restock, pick, and pack product for customer orders.
• Inspect assigned equipment daily at start of shift; check out equipment and return it in the same condition.
• Follow procedures for proper care and use of equipment, to include keys.
• Adhere to all safety requirements and guidelines.
• Complete and maintain SanMar's Lift Operator Certification in compliance with OSHA guidelines.
