Job summary

Cardinal Health is hiring a Warehouse Associate II to support inbound/outbound activities in a fast-paced distribution environment. The role involves following SOPs to process orders, picking items, packaging, and preparing shipments under supervision.

The position requires lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for long shifts, and operating material handling equipment. Training is provided, with opportunities to cross-train across warehouse areas and participate in safety and inventory tasks.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred.
• Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift and stand for entire shift.
• Comfort working with heights 20-30 feet regularly.
• Previous material handling equipment experience (PIT) preferred.
• RF scanner and/or voice to pick experience highly preferred.
• Must be able to work additional hours and holidays with little to no advance notice.
• Ability to follow direction and change priorities while working independently or as a member of a team.
• Aptitude to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment while meeting hourly established performance standards.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to learn to operate material handling equipment and rotate into various areas of the warehouse.
• Adhere to site safety regulations including wearing required personal protective equipment such as steel toed safety shoes, and material handling equipment safety harness; accountable to Cardinal Health’s EHS as well as QRA policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs to process orders including picking, quality checks, sorting, consolidating freight, building and wrapping pallets, packing, loading and preparing orders for shipment.
• Pick large case items with equipment or small unit items and place on cart.
• Cross-train in multiple areas and participate in projects as needed.
• Use WMS to check in/out products.
• Operate material handling equipment as required (e.g., forklift, pallet jack).
• Complete housekeeping and inventory control tasks; maintain a safe work environment.
• Work on routine assignments with problem resolution.
• Attend associate meetings and communicate concerns to management.
• Adhere to OSHA standards and company policies.
