Job summary

Pet Specialists of Austin is seeking a compassionate Veterinary Client Service Representative to join our 24/7 practice in Austin, TX. The role focuses on front-desk operations, client communication, and efficient appointment management.

You will work during evening hours with weekend and holiday requirements to ensure seamless patient care. Responsibilities include greeting clients, scheduling appointments, processing payments, and maintaining accurate records in our practice management system.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a veterinary hospital, animal hospital, or related client service setting.
• Strong customer service, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
• Comfortable answering multi-line phones, scheduling appointments, checking clients in and out, and processing payments.
• Familiarity with veterinary terminology and practice management software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service by attentively addressing the needs of clients and their pets.
• Answer phones, schedule appointments and procedures, set reminders, manage patient and client flow, check patients in and out, and address basic client concerns.
• Facilitate clear communication between clients and the medical team as needed.
• Accurately enter and maintain client and patient information in the computer system, ensuring medical records are up to date.
• Process client payments and invoices, and follow up on outstanding or missing payments.
• Maintain a clean and organized lobby, waiting area, and workspace.
• Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
