Pima Medical Institute - Colorado Springs Campus is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician to join our faculty. In this role, you will bring clinical expertise into the classroom and lab, guiding students through hands-on instruction and real-world skill development on-site.

The position offers flexible hours, including morning, afternoon, and evening shifts, with a competitive hourly wage of $31.00 to $38.75.

Qualifications

Current credential as RVT or CVT.
Minimum 3 years of practical veterinary technician experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans and hands‑on lab demonstrations aligned with the established veterinary nursing curriculum.
Monitor lab competencies and confirm student skill levels using standardized checklists.
Evaluate student performance and maintain an 80% student success rate for all classes taught.
Track student attendance and coordinate with leadership regarding absences.
Mentor students through academic challenges and provide targeted intervention and support.
Maintain accurate student grades and records per established policies.
Coordinate guest speakers, field trips, and visits to veterinary clinics to enrich the student experience.
Enforce safety protocols and monitor classroom and lab environments to ensure a safe learning experience.
