Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a Utility Person to join our Augusta, GA team. You will perform cross‑functional duties in plant maintenance, production, and equipment operation, including lubrication, housekeeping, inspections, and general upkeep.

Typical duties include operating skid steer and other plant equipment, conducting preventative maintenance, supporting production, loading, shipping, and quality control, while maintaining safe workflows and assisting with coworker training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Experience in the building materials industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and routine maintenance on mobile and plant equipment.
• Conduct daily pre/post-shift inspections and maintain maintenance logs.
• Operate equipment and assist with cleaning around equipment and roadways.
• Support plant operations including production, loading/shipping, and quality control.
• Maintain safe, clean work areas and safe traffic flow on site.
• Assist in training co-workers as needed.
