Job summary

Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health in Lebanon, NH, seeks a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our Radiology team. You will perform high-level ultrasound exams including high-risk obstetrics, gynecologic imaging, infertility workups, and general ultrasound on the latest GE and Philips systems.

We foster a collaborative culture with ongoing professional development and a sign-on/retention bonus up to $20,000. This is a full-time, on-site role with evening shifts and weekend coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program with registry eligibility.
• Minimum 1 year of general and specialty ultrasound experience preferred.
• Experience in high-risk OB and advanced imaging preferred.
• Broad knowledge of anatomy and pathology relevant to ultrasound.
• Competent with ultrasound reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Select equipment, imaging modalities, position, and prep for optimum exams.
• Operate ultrasound equipment and assess scan quality and completeness.
• Record preliminary results and prepare reports.
• Take measurements and label findings accurately.
• Communicate ultrasound findings to the physician for interpretation.
• Consult radiologists on unusual scans and re-scanning needs.
• Maintain equipment and quality control in the ultrasound lab.
• Supervise students/residents and other staff as needed.
• Perform duties related to interventional procedures and decontamination.
