Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program and registry eligible.
• Minimum 1 year of experience performing a broad range of general and specialty ultrasound exams preferred.
• Experience in high-risk OB, advanced abdominal imaging, infertility, and guided biopsies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Selects equipment, modality, position, and prep for optimum diagnostic studies.
• Operates ultrasonography equipment to perform examinations and evaluates scan quality.
• Records preliminary study results and prepares reports using the department system.
• Takes measurements and labels them; communicates ultrasound findings to the physician.
• Oversees students, residents, and staff in unit operations and maintains lab organization.
• Maintains and troubleshoots ultrasonography equipment and quality control procedures.
