Job summary

Truss Craft of Kansas is seeking an assembler for the evening shift on a part-time basis in Hays, KS. You will assemble wood and metal components according to design measurements, ensuring accuracy and safety on the production line.

The role requires reading blueprints, measuring with a tape, and lifting up to 50 pounds, with opportunities to participate in our ESOP program as an employee-owned company.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Ability to read or learn to read a tape measure.
• Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Accurately place pre-cut wood component members onto jig in accordance with design measurements and specifications.
• Join wood component members together utilizing staple gun.
• Accurately measure dimension to ensure accuracy and quality of build in accordance with design.
• Place metal connector plate components at joints for permanent application in accordance with design.
• Ensure the product is constructed accurately, adhering to safety and quality standards.
• Send finished product to packaging/shipping section of the production line.
