Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human services, preferably social work (BSW) or counseling, with two years' experience in family-based social work.
• Annual physical form confirming no contagion.
• Act 160 PA criminal, Child abuse and FBI clearances within one year of hire.
• Valid driver's license, automobile insurance, and access to a car.
• Ability to work in a team-based setting and with groups.
• Computer use for written correspondence.
• Ability to collaborate with professionals and lead focus groups.
• Understanding of educational, child welfare, and judicial systems and navigation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, holistic environment for at-risk youth through engaging, strength-based programming.
• Develop programs to ensure school attendance and achievement.
• Resolve issues, promote stability, and support positive youth development.
• Create Family Development Plans from assessments and truancy plans.
• Link services for family members and coordinate with schools.
• Advance academic progress with school counselors and teachers.
• Collect academic records and communicate with school staff.
• Develop academic support action plans with inter-agency meetings.
• Engage caregivers to participate in school activities and meetings.
