Job summary

La Salle University invites applications for adjunct faculty in Translation & Interpretation to teach courses in the Hispanic Institute, Global Languages, Literatures, and Perspectives. The position is part-time and to be filled from a pool of eligible instructors as needs arise.

Successful candidates will hold a Master’s degree with at least two years of translation/interpretation experience and should be able to teach in the evening (6:00–9:15 PM).

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 2 years of translation/interpretation experience.
• Experience using technology in translation/interpretation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Teach Translation & Interpretation courses.
• Create a syllabus that meets Provost’s Syllabus Checklist requirements.
• Create assessment activities that support learning outcomes.
• Submit grades and materials by deadlines.
• Address student questions in a timely manner.
• Prepare meaningful lectures and class activities for each class period.
• Use Canvas and other technology to enhance student learning.
• Attend faculty meetings if required.
