Job summary

Qualifications

• Master's degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution or equivalent in Translation/Interpreting or related field.
• Ability to teach Spanish translation, interpreting, and/or Spanish for heritage learners at all undergraduate levels.
• Candidates must reside within commutable distance to John Jay College.

Responsibilities

• Teach a 4/4 load: eight undergraduate courses per year.
• Actively recruit, advise and mentor Spanish majors, minors, and Certificate students.
• Collaborate with colleagues, the department and the College on service and curricular initiatives.
