Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician in Fort Wayne to keep fleet equipment running safely and efficiently. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and ensure timely repairs in a collaborative OD environment.

You’ll work with DOT, EPA, ICC, and OSHA standards while upholding top-tier service and quality craftsmanship across trucks and trailers.

Qualifications

• HIGH SCHOOL diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience as a maintenance technician or similar role.
• Experience with truck repair and body/frame work.
• Must provide own tools to perform job duties.

Responsibilities

• Build, rebuild and repair all parts of company equipment as required.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical or other breakdowns in trucks or related equipment.
• Read precision instruments like micrometers, dial indicators and voltmeters.
• Troubleshoot and analyze failure of truck or trailer components.
• Weld as needed to complete truck repairs.
• Weld on converter dollies with proper bead quality.
• Apply knowledge of DOT, EPA, ICC and OSHA rules.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
