Job summary

Motion Industries is seeking a Systems Administrator II to design, implement, and maintain enterprise IT infrastructure across Windows and Linux servers, VMware ESX, AD, and O365. The role supports development and 3rd‑level endpoint tasks, with a focus on high‑level problem solving and cross‑platform collaboration.

Typical responsibilities include server administration, platform diagramming, BC planning, and complex troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a bachelor's degree and 3–5 years of related experience or an equivalent combination.
• Comprehensive hands-on knowledge of Windows and/or Linux operating systems (OpenShift preferred).
• Experience with VMware virtualization technology and O365 products.

Responsibilities

• Maintains IT hardware, software, OS, and applications.
• Performs Windows and/or Linux server administration.
• Troubleshoots general IT issues with defined parameters.
• Provides O365 support and administration.
• Handles VMware maintenance and configuration.
• Assists with maintenance of multiple application packages.
• Develops and maintains platform diagrams and network documentation.
• Ensures Business Continuity plans remain viable.
• Provides tier 3 troubleshooting as required.
• Creates and manages system permissions and user accounts.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
