Job summary

YMCA of Greater Boston’s Burbank branch seeks a Swim Instructor I & II to teach lessons under the YMCA model, working with children and families after school.

Under Aquatics Director supervision, you will prepare materials, start classes on time, monitor safety, and communicate progress to parents.

This non-exempt, hourly position offers a friendly team, trainings, and opportunities to contribute to youth development.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching swim lessons and working with children.
• Ability to manage multiple classes and maintain safety.
• Must complete required trainings within specified timelines.

Responsibilities

• Teach swim lessons following YMCA model.
• Ensure safety and proper supervision of students.
• Provide excellent member service and communicate progress to parents.
• Attend safety drills and trainings.
