Job summary

Northshore YMCA Ipswich, MA is hiring part-time Swim Instructors to teach lessons for children and adults using the YMCA Swim Curriculum. No prior teaching experience is required—paid training, shadowing, and ongoing coaching are provided.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Current certifications preferred or willingness to obtain—lifeguarding, swim instruction, CPR, first aid, Oxygen.
• Commitment to water safety and helping learners enjoy the water.

Responsibilities

• Teach swim lessons to children and adults using the YMCA Swim Curriculum.
• Lead engaging group and private lessons.
• Promote water safety and help participants build confidence.
• Create a positive, inclusive learning environment and celebrate progress.
• Support ongoing coaching and professional development for growth.
