Job summary

YMCA of Greenwich invites a part-time Swim Instructor to join the Aquatic Programs & Development team. Under supervision, you will communicate clearly, lead instructional activities, and promote safety while delivering classes in accordance with YMCA policies and core wellness goals.

You will work evenings and weekends, gain YMCA/ARC certifications, maintain a welcoming classroom, and foster a positive learning environment for children and adults in a busy indoor pool setting.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Will obtain YMCA or ARC certification at the earliest opportunity.
• Must be willing to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Teach swim classes following YMCA policies and proper teaching techniques.
• Maintain constant supervision and ensure safety of all class participants.
• Create a positive learning environment and assist participants in achieving class goals.
