Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the operating room team in Dickson City. You will scrub for operative procedures, anticipate surgeon needs, and handle instruments and supplies to maintain a sterile field.

Responsibilities include ensuring a safe OR, performing counts, and preparing the room and equipment. Experience with sterile techniques and BLS/AHA training is required. Evening shift with on-site work.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Technical school diploma or surgical technician credential.
• CST certification required; TS-C certification preferred.
• Ability to adapt to change in a healthcare setting.
• Basic Life Support and American Heart Association training required.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures and maintains a safe operating room environment.
• Performs surgical counts and organizes case carts for upcoming procedures.
• Collaborates with the OR circulator to prepare the OR and gather sterile supplies and equipment.
• Maintains sterile field using aseptic technique and ensures equipment functions properly.
• Performs turnover and in-between case cleaning in the OR suite.
