Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network in Schuylkill is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to support the operating room team. You will scrub in, handle instruments, and ensure sterile technique throughout operative procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
• Surgical technician training and CST/TS-C credentials strongly preferred.
• BLS and AHA certifications required or obtained on hire.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures and maintains a sterile environment.
• Performs surgical counts and prepares case carts for upcoming procedures.
• Collaborates with the OR circulator to prepare the room and gather sterile supplies.
• Maintains sterile field using aseptic techniques and ensures equipment is functioning properly.
• Performs in-between case cleaning turnover in the OR suite.
