Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) is seeking a Surgical Technician to join the Labor & Delivery team for day shift coverage with weekend and holiday rotation in East Stroudsburg, PA. The position supports a high-volume surgical program within a Magnet hospital renowned for patient safety and nursing excellence.

Responsibilities include scrubbing, maintaining sterile technique, preparing the OR, and assisting the team during procedures while ensuring a safe operating room environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Technical School Diploma or equivalent.
• Surgical technologist certification.
• Ability to adapt to fast-paced operating room environments.

Responsibilities

• Scrub and prepare the sterile field for operative procedures.
• Maintain sterile technique and assist during surgery as directed.
• Prepare and organize instruments, supplies, and case carts.
• Coordinate with the surgical team to anticipate the needs of the procedure.
• Assist with in-between case cleaning and turnover in the OR suite.
