Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in Surgical Technology.
• BLS certification within 6 months unless exempted by department leadership.
• No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Performs preparatory, scrubbing and related services to support operating room cases.
• Maintains aseptic technique and sterile field; assists surgeons with instruments and supplies.
• Ensures room setup, safety, and efficiency of the operating room and equipment.
• Functions as a Second Assistant as needed and communicates equipment or supply issues.
• Transports patients, supplies, and maintains instrument carts and sterile supply levels.
