Qualifications

• Associate degree in lab science or 60 semester hours with relevant lab/science courses.
• Lab training through ABHES/NAACLS or 3 months in each high‑complexity testing area.
• Strong medical terminology and basic scientific literacy required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in gross preparation of non‑complex surgical examinations for permanent sections.
• Prepare tissue for microscopic examination and ensure proper accessioning in the LIS.
• Perform gross descriptions of non‑complex surgical specimens.
• Support special projects as designated by leadership and work with minimal direction.
