Job summary

Wellstar Health System in Austell, GA is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to ensure instruments meet quality and safety standards. You will receive, clean, sterilize, and store critical medical instruments and supplies in Central Sterile Supply, following policy and AAMI guidelines.

Responsibilities include operating washers/decontaminators, inspecting equipment, tracking inventory, and supporting OR turnover.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED required.
• CRCST certification preferred.
• Minimum 1 year sterile processing experience.
• Must be able to speak and write English clearly.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Collects, receives, cleans, disinfects, and decontaminates instruments, supplies and equipment.
• Operates washer-decontaminator, cart washer and ultrasonic cleaner.
• Inspects instruments for cleanliness and working order.
• Documents results and maintains inventory control.
• Supports OR turnover and coordinates with OR and supply staff.
