YouthBuild Philadelphia Charter School is seeking an Evening School Special Education Teacher for the YouthBuild Philly Flex program. This part-time role runs 10 months with evening instructional hours from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM, plus planning time and occasional events.

The position emphasizes direct instruction, case management, and collaboration across programs to support students with IEPs. Ideal candidates hold a PA teaching certificate in Special Education and bring experience in SPED

Qualificações

• Requires PA teaching certificate in Special Education.
• Three to five years’ experience teaching Special Education (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree strongly preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as case manager for Evening School students with IEPs and ensure compliance with IDEA, state regulations, and charter requirements.
• Write, review, and update IEPs, reevaluation reports, and progress notes; schedule IEP meetings; collect input for reevaluations and transition planning.
• Track service minutes and maintain compliant documentation for special education files.
• Provide specialized instruction aligned to IEP goals; collaborate with Day Program SPED team.
• Mentor a small cohort of students and support postsecondary readiness.
