Job summary

KIPP Philadelphia Public Schools seeks a dedicated SPED teacher to join its eight-campus network in Philadelphia. The role focuses on delivering inclusive, evidence-based instruction and maintaining accurate student records while supporting students across IEP/504/ELL programs.

You will collaborate with families and colleagues to drive student growth, participate in ongoing professional development, and uphold KPPS values of Children First and Cultural Competence.

Qualifications

• 2+ years SPED full-time teaching experience in urban setting preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• PA State certification Level I or II strongly preferred; if uncertified, enroll in PA-approved certification within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership for your craft and engage in monthly coaching/feedback.
• Participate in all school-wide professional development and grade-team initiatives.
• Maintain student records and communicate with families regarding growth.
• Deliver instruction aligned with SPED supports (IEP, 504, ELL) and monitor progress.
• Uphold school policies and model professionalism as a role model for students.
