Job summary

ServingSchools seeks an experienced educator to lead special education services at the upper elementary and middle school levels. You will develop and implement IEPs, coordinate with parents, and work with the IEP team to ensure compliant education plans.

The role reports to the Building Leader and supervises Educational Technicians. You will conduct timely IEP meetings, maintain records, and create a supportive classroom environment aligned with district objectives.

Qualifications

• Eligible for Maine certification as required by the role.
• Experience with Teach and Case Management at upper Elementary and Middle School level.

Responsibilities

• Prepares student IEPs and implements transition plans with measurable goals.
• Conducts IEP meetings within timelines.
• Maintains IEPs, quarterly reports and progress monitoring for caseload.
• Completes all special education paperwork accurately and on time.
• Maintains compliant special education files.
• Maintains a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to student needs.
• Plans and supervises assignments for teacher aides and volunteers.
