Job summary

ProCare Therapy is seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher to join a 6th grade team just outside of Philadelphia. This full-time role focuses on co-teaching in a dynamic classroom while supporting a caseload of approximately 20 students.

You'll collaborate daily with two other educators, develop and implement IEPs, monitor progress, and communicate regularly with parents and staff to promote student growth academically and socially.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching in middle school, especially 6th grade.
• Background in co-teaching and collaborative planning.
• Strong experience creating and implementing IEPs.
• Excellent communication with parents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Co-teach in a 6th grade inclusive classroom with two fellow teachers.
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs for students.
• Regularly assess student progress and adjust instruction as needed.
• Maintain proactive communication with parents/guardians, providing updates on student goals and achievements.
• Contribute to a positive, supportive classroom culture.
• Participate in department meetings and ongoing professional development.
