Job summary

Labcorp is hiring a Specimen Processor I to join our Montgomery, AL team. The role supports the accurate preparation of laboratory specimens for analysis and ensures proper labeling, routing, and data entry to maintain high-quality testing workflows.

The position requires a High School diploma or GED, with a preference for candidates with 1 year of lab or production experience. The incumbent will work evenings, Monday through Friday, in a fast-paced lab environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1 year or more of lab, accessioning, production, manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred.
• 1 year or more medical or production experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
• Unpack and route specimens to staging areas.
• Accurately identify and label specimens.
• Pack and ship specimens to testing facilities.
• Meet department activity and production goals.
• Prepare and store excess specimen samples.
• Data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Resolve and document problem specimens.
