Job summary

Labcorp in Montgomery, AL seeks a Specimen Processor I to join a fast-paced lab team. You will prepare specimens, unpack, label, and route them to staging areas, while ensuring accuracy and timely data entry. Work schedule: Mon-Fri 5:30pm-11:00pm.

Minimum qualification is a HS diploma or GED; 1 year in lab or related environment is preferred. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and pass color vision tests are required.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• 1 year or more experience in lab, accessioning, production or warehouse is preferred.
• Comfort handling biological specimens and data entry accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
• Unpack and route specimens to staging areas and label accurately.
• Pack and ship specimens to testing facilities and meet production goals.
• Data entry of patient information in a timely manner.
• Resolve and document any problematic specimens.
