Job summary

Safe Place for Youth in Los Angeles is seeking a Site Associate, Meadow at Melrose, to support a 24-hour interim housing program serving transitional age youth. The role focuses on creating a safe, supportive environment, crisis response, and coordinating activities while ensuring clean, welcoming spaces.

The ideal candidate is compassionate, reliable, and passionate about trauma-informed, youth-centered care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or related field is preferred.
• 2+ years of direct services experience with high-risk transition age youth is preferred.
• Must have strong communication and organizational skills; valid CA driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily house and property inspections to maintain safety and curb appeal.
• Maintain inventory of program supplies and ensure organized storage.
• Assist with program intakes, exits, and meal support for residents.
• Coordinate on-site educational, life skills, and healing arts activities.
• Provide crisis support and conflict resolution among residents; document bed and program logs.
