Job summary

Potbelly Corporate in Westmont, IL is hiring a Team Member to join our fast-paced, guest-focused team. You will help customers enjoy lunch by delivering fast, friendly service and a quality product in a clean, inviting space.

Qualifications

Must be at least 16 years old.
Friendly, customer-first mindset with ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Comfortable working in a bustling kitchen environment (knife skills a plus).
Able to manage potential allergens (peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, soy, seafood, shellfish).
Team player with flexibility to assist across stations.
Ability to stand/walk a minimum of 3 hours or as needed.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Illinois applicants - food safety certification within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

Work multiple stations (load, dress, shakes, cash, prep, front) as directed.
Comply with health and safety standards for food, cleanliness and safety.
Restock food line, chips and cooler.
Prepare quality finished products (sandwiches, salads, soups, cookies, ice cream, etc.).
If 18 or older, use the automatic slicer to prep items.
Clean tables, counters, floors, bathrooms, kitchen and utensils; take out trash.
Operate cash register and balance cash handling procedures.
Handle customer complaints/issues effectively.
Take delivery/catering/pickup orders over the phone.
Other duties as assigned.
