Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Massachusetts RN license required.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• ICU, FLOAT, S1 and M2-ACLS certifications preferred.
• ED PALS ACLS certifications beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Documents initial and ongoing patient assessment according to policy.
• Develops and modifies an effective, individualized plan of care including discharge planning.
• Applies knowledge for age-appropriate care (infant to geriatric).
• Initiates and coordinates patient teaching based on identified needs.
• Coordinates care using an interdisciplinary approach and delegates as appropriate.
• Evaluates patient responses and ensures policy compliance.
• Administers medications and treatments per established procedures.
