Job summary

Brown University Health seeks a registered nurse for a per diem Day shift role at Morton Hospital in Taunton, MA. You will perform nursing assessments, plan and coordinate patient care, and lead patient education with the interdisciplinary team.

Required MA RN license, 1 year RN experience, BLS/ACLS, and Epic experience; BSN preferred. Per diem status reflects variable hours and a union environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school
• RN experience: minimum of 1 year
• BLS and/or ACLS certification
• ICU, FLOAT, S1 and M2-ACLS where applicable
• Epic experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Documents initial and ongoing patient assessment according to policy and MHMC procedures
• Develops and modifies care plans including discharge planning
• Provides age-appropriate care across lifespan (infant to geriatric)
• Initiates and coordinates patient teaching
• Coordinates patient care using interdisciplinary approach
• Delegates responsibilities according to caregiver skills
• Evaluates patient responses to interventions
• Supervises other patient caregivers on unit
• Exercises independent judgment in emergencies
• Administers medications and treatments per policy
