Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of RN experience.
• Meditech experience preferred.
• Attends and participates in staff meetings and in services and/or reviews documentation as required.
• Assists in the orientation of others and actively participates in mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Documents initial and ongoing patient assessment in a complete, concise, and timely manner according to policy and procedure.
• Develops and modifies an effective plan of care including discharge planning.
• Applies knowledge to provide age-appropriate care (infant to geriatric).
• Initiates and coordinates patient teaching.
• Integrates, delegates, and coordinates patient care using interdisciplinary approach.
• Delegates responsibilities and assigns tasks according to skills.
• Evaluates patient responses to interventions per policy.
• Supervises other caregivers and acts as a role model.
• Exercises independent judgment in emergencies and evaluates actions.
