Hospital for Special Care in Connecticut is seeking a Registered Nurse for a satellite unit at Mount Sinai. The role requires completion of an accredited nursing program and current Connecticut RN licensure, with eligibility for graduate nurses.

The nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while coordinating with the treatment team. Responsibilities include administering medications, documenting care, and maintaining standards per ANA.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited school of nursing program.
• Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Connecticut.
• Demonstrated competence in the clinical setting.
• Valid driver’s license (NBU only).
• Preferred: Valid/Current CPR (required within 3 months of employment).
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• Graduate Nurse: Complete accredited nursing program.
• Graduate Nurse: Primary source verification for temporary practice privileges post-graduation.
• Graduate Nurse: Temporary practice provisions as outlined by CT Department of Public Health.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive patient assessments within scope of practice.
