Job summary

Northwell Health Sharon Hospital in Connecticut is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in a hospital setting. The role requires CT RN licensure, BLS, ACLS by end of probation, and 1 year of RN experience preferred.

Work shift is 6:45pm-7:15am, with every other weekend; full-time, 36 hours. The RN collaborates with the interdisciplinary team, documents care plans, administers medications safely, and participates in safety and patient education.

Qualifications

• State of CTRN license required.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS required by end of probation.

Responsibilities

• Completes patient assessment and reassessment as clinically indicated.
• Documents detailed information integrating plan of care, interventions and outcomes.
• Verbalizes medication to patients/families and assesses before administration.
• Coordinates and supervises delivery of nursing care; maintains accountability for delegated tasks.
• Promotes a culture of safety; assesses risks and documents safety interventions.
• Plans and provides patient/family teaching and evaluates learning needs.
• Cares for diverse patient populations across locations as needed.
• Meets accreditation, regulatory and compliance responsibilities.
