Job summary

Hospital for Special Care is seeking Registered Nurses and Graduate Nurses for the Satellite Units on the Mount Sinai satellite location. The role requires CT RN licensure, accredited nursing education, and competence in clinical care. The position supports a second shift with 32 scheduled hours per week.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse: Must have graduated from an accredited nursing program.
• Current CT RN licensure required.
• Demonstrated clinical competence in the setting.
• Valid driver’s license (NBU only).
• Preferred: CPR certification (within 3 months).
• Graduate Nurse: completion of accredited nursing program; temporary practice provisions apply.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments within scope of practice.
• Develop and evaluate goal-directed plans of care aligned with ANA standards.
• Coordinate patient activities (admission, discharge, transfers) with treatment team.
• Administer medications per hospital policies and document accordingly.
• Demonstrate critical thinking and effective communication in multidisciplinary teams.
• Respond to emergencies per Hospital for Special Care policies and procedures.
