Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking an experienced registered nurse for the Emergency Department in Milford, MA. The role involves delivering comprehensive patient care using the nursing process from admission to discharge, with an emphasis on accurate assessments and discharge planning.

The position requires MA nursing licensure, BLS, and area-specific ACLS/PALS within defined timelines. BSN preferred; ER/acute care experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS certification required; ACLS/PALS may be required in select areas within 6 months.
• BSN preferred; experience in emergency/acute care.
• Proficient in clinical judgment and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process from admission to discharge for each patient.
• Performs initial and ongoing patient assessments and reassessments.
• Develops and coordinates individualized plans of care including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, and evaluates nursing care within the assigned setting.
• Delegates tasks to team members according to competencies.
