Job summary

O’Neal Manufacturing Services (OMS) is seeking a Production Supervisor for the second shift in Houston, TX. The role requires managing shop teams, enforcing safety, and coordinating daily machine schedules to meet quality and delivery goals.

You will drive continuous improvement and oversee training for new and existing staff. The supervisor will supervise performance reviews, maintain timesheets, and work with maintenance and planning to optimize productivity.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a steel/manufacturing environment.
• Two- or four-year college degree or equivalent experience.
• Leadership and supervisory experience.
• ISO 9001:2015 experience.
• Formal safety training (OSHA 30, NSC).
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma.
• Strong interpersonal skills and organization.
• English speaking.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and supervise shop employees; manage overtime and performance reviews.
• Enforce safety procedures and report violations.
• Audit quality and support QA in preventing errors.
• Interview and train new/transfers; coordinate training.
• Coordinate daily machine schedules with planning; ensure on-time delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement using manufacturing methods.
• Support maintenance and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain policies and handle customer issues.
• Promote teamwork and high morale.
