Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated, through Systems Control, seeks a Production Supervisor (E-Shift) to lead a disciplined production team in our Iron Mountain, MI facility. The role is onsite with a Monday-Thursday, 1:30 pm – 12 am shift, coordinating with engineering, materials, and quality to meet daily targets.

You will drive continuous improvement, manage schedules, and ensure safety and housekeeping while reporting to operations leadership.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; college experience a plus.
• Minimum 5 years in a unionized manufacturing environment with 2 years in a leadership role.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; formal training a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and results.

Responsibilities

• Supervise hourly employees, maintaining log of shift operations.
• Prepare daily time sheets for hourly employees, production summaries, overtime, and downtime reports.
• Plan work assignments to maximize utilization of manpower, materials, equipment, and facilities.
• Collaborate with Engineering on new or revised methods to increase efficiency and quality.
• Coordinate with Material Control on production schedules and parts; provide feedback on changes.
• Work with Quality Control on maintenance and interpretation of quality standards.
• Communicate changes to management that may affect production.
• Coordinate with HR on employee relations matters.
• Ensure compliance with plant rules, safety standards and housekeeping.
