Job summary

Astemo Americas, Inc. in Georgia is seeking an Assembly Operator for the E shift, 7:00 PM - 5:30 AM, Monday through Thursday, 10 hours per day, to support electronics assembly lines.

You will follow instruction sheets, verify dimensions, perform changeovers, inspect parts, input production data, and uphold 5S and quality standards to TS16949 and ISO14000 compliance. The role requires a high school diploma, teamwork, basic math, and physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds; prior manufacturing

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Manufacturing/industrial experience preferred in electronic/mechanical assembly or high-speed equipment operation.
• Ability to work in a team to meet production goals (cycle time, takt time, scrap rates).
• Reading and writing abilities to follow work orders and prepare simple reports.
• Basic math skills required.
• Manual dexterity to operate machines.

Responsibilities

• Follow operator instruction sheets or verbal instructions to perform operations.
• Check products and component dimensions with indicators and gauges as per procedures.
• Change simple parts and fixtures to facilitate changeover of product types.
• Visually and manually inspect for defects in products or workmanship.
• Input data daily to maintain charts and reports for manufacturing, engineering, quality, material control, and sales.
• Maintain clean and orderly work area per 5S policy across processes.
