Job summary

ASTEMO AMERICAS, INC. is seeking an Assembly Operator for the E shift (Mon–Thu 7pm–5:30 am). The role requires reading and following instructions, inspection of dimensions, and changeover of product types in a fast-paced manufacturing plant.

The candidate should be able to lift up to 50 pounds, work in a team to meet production goals, and adhere to safety and quality standards. Drug screens and background checks may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in electronic/mechanical assembly or high-speed equipment operation preferred.
• Ability to work in a team environment to meet production goals.
• Sufficient reading and writing ability to follow work orders and prepare simple reports.
• Basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow operator instruction sheets and verbal instructions to perform operations.
• Check product and component dimensions using indicators and gauges per procedures.
• Change simple parts and fixtures to facilitate changeover of product types.
• Visually and manually inspect for defects in product or workmanship.
• Input data daily to maintain charts/reports for manufacturing, engineering, quality, material control, and sales.
• Maintain clean and orderly work area per 5S policy across processes.
• Comply with work instructions to ensure products meet TS16949/ISO14000 and customer standards.
• Suggest and implement continuous improvement programs.
• Communicate machine issues and failures with support staff and coworkers.
