Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Marlborough, MA is seeking a Patient Care Technician I to join a compassionate clinical team under licensed clinicians. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor patients, record vital signs, and support treatments while maintaining patient safety.

Evening shift opportunities are available, with an 8-hour schedule and 32 hours per week. A non-exempt, hourly position, potential signing bonus may be offered during the interview process.

Qualifications

• High school education or GED required.
• BLS certification within 30 days as a condition of employment.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English clearly.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Basic medical terminology knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide clear, timely communication to RN about patient observations.
• Monitor high-risk patients as assigned.
• Assist with daily living activities and mobility.
• Support treatments and procedures with equipment as directed.
• Perform vital signs, intake/output, and basic measurements.
• Maintain patient safety and de-escalate when needed.
