Job summary

Debbie’s Staffing is recruiting for a Packer Operator Associate for our client in Kannapolis, NC. The position runs 6:00pm–6:30am on a 2-2-3 schedule with a $19.00 per hour pay rate and weekly pay.

This is temp-to-hire. Essential duties include ensuring correct materials per the production schedule, monitoring packaging flow, setting up equipment, maintaining cleanliness, adhering to GMPs, health and food safety standards, HAACP, and allergen controls.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• 1 years’ experience with production equipment and processes preferred.
• Must have attention to detail, and work well with other departments and individuals.
• Ability to bend, kneel, climb steps, and stand for long periods of time.
• Must be reliable and dependable.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Ability to work in cold/hot, wet and noisy conditions.

Responsibilities

• Ensures all materials are correct based on the production schedule for all products being packaged.
• Monitors and inspects the flow of cases to identify and detect defective packaging.
• Operators must ensure the proper set- up of their equipment and processes.
• Achieve Quality metrics.
• Inspects equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment.
• Fills out required paperwork accurately.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
• Adhere to company GMPs.
• Adheres to all health, food safety, HAACP, Allergen, sanitation SOPs and good manufacturing practices.
• Operators will be accountable for Safety, Quality, and Service in their area of responsibility.
• Uphold the Plant Vision and Code of Conduct.
• Other duties as assigned.
