Meritus Medical Laboratory in Hagerstown, MD is seeking a part-time Clinical Lab Assistant for the evening shift (2:30pm-11:00pm). The role involves specimen processing, clerical duties, inventory management, and quality-focused laboratory procedures to support accurate patient testing.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and follow established protocols, with preferred but not required an Associate degree and 2+ years of laboratory experience.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform specimen preparation including centrifugation, aliquoting, labeling, and storage.
• Load and unload specimens from analyzers with staff support.
• Ensure accuracy and quality in processing and testing workflows.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and reports.
• Manage department inventory and supplies.
• Collect and prepare biohazardous waste for disposal.
• Follow laboratory safety protocols and QA standards.
• Communicate with laboratory staff and healthcare team.
• Prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
