Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to follow clinical protocols, specifications and procedures.
• Successful completion of data entry and medical terminology assessments.
• Preferred: Associate degree in health-related field.

Responsibilities

• Perform specimen preparation, including centrifugation, aliquoting, volume measurement, labeling, storage, and packaging for in-house and reference laboratory testing.
• Assist laboratory staff with loading/unloading specimens from analyzers.
• Ensure accuracy and quality throughout specimen processing and testing workflows.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and reports.
• Manage department inventory, including stock levels, receiving supplies, and organizing storage.
• Collect, handle, and prepare biohazardous waste for proper disposal.
• Follow all laboratory safety protocols and quality assurance standards.
• Communicate effectively with laboratory staff and healthcare team members.
• Demonstrate independent decision-making and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
