Job summary

Easterseals New Jersey is seeking a Mental Health Residential Counselor in Monmouth County, Sunday-Thursday 3:00 PM-11:00 PM. Join a team dedicated to enriching lives of people with mental illness and developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities include monitoring medications, documenting services, and coordinating supportive services within IRPs, while delivering high-quality care in a respectful, compassionate environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mental Health, or human services.
• Combination of college and related life/work experience can meet requirements.
• High school or GED with four years of related experience may qualify.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
• Proven verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supports consumers in achieving measurable outcomes addressing care challenges.
• Adheres to AMHRS standards for adult mental health rehab services.
• Ensures timely response to complaints and grievances for satisfaction.
• Educates and monitors medications, audits logs, monthly reviews.
• Coordinates services based on consumer needs and IRPs.
